- Penlon was established in Abingdon in Oxfordshire, UK in 1943.
- Penlon Ltd. has 60 years of experience in the development and manufacture of Anesthesia equipment.
- They export to over ninety countries worldwide, including the USA and Japan, and maintain a strong presence in the UK.
- Penlon was founded as Longworth Scientific Instrument Co by personnel from the Department of Anesthetics at Oxford University. One of its first products was the Macintosh Laryngoscope, then a revolutionary design invented by the late Sir Robert Macintosh, Professor of Anesthetics.
